Yangshuo is surrounded by karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River. It boasts breath-taking natural sceneries, mysterious ancient local dwelling houses and a diverse range of cultures. West Street is the most exciting one call the 'Global Village', many foreign residents managing caf├ęs and restaurants.

Li River is a river in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. It ranges 83 kilometers from Guilin to Yangshuo, where the Karst mountain and river sights highlight the famous Li River cruise.

Silver Cave is the typical karst landscape, running through 12 hills. The cave is a floor-type cave, with three layers and more than ten scenery spots and different typles of stalactites, which are crystal clear and sparkling like silver. The most three famous scenic areas include snow-mountain with waterfall, music stone screen and Jade Pool Wonderland.

The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, between 600 m to 800 m above sea level. The coiling line that starts from the mountain foot up to the mountain top divides the mountain into layers of water in spring, layers of green rice shoots in summer, layers of rice in fall, and layers of frost in winter.

In Tibetan, Shangri-La means the "sun and moon in heart", an ideal home only found in heaven. There the lofty and continuous snowy mountains, endless grasslands, steep and grand gorges, azure lakes, bucolic villages and almost all the buildings are white in color and feature the Tibetan style architecture.

Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise, and particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia- a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world and is often used in a similar context to "Garden of Eden", to represent a paradise hidden from modern man.

The Songzanlin Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery situated 5 kilometres from the city of Zhongdian at elevation 3,380 metres. Built in 1679, the monastery is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan province and is sometimes referred to as the Little Potala Palace. It belongs to the Yellow Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism of the Gelukpa order of the Dalai Lama.

Yak and cascading pools at Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is a mountain range near Lijiang and also is a famous scenic spot for sightseeing, mountaineering, skiing, exploration, scientific research and taking holiday.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a mountain range near Lijiang, in Yunnan province, southwestern China.and is a holy mountain in the heart of Naxi Minority. Snow and fog covered the mountain resembles a jade dragon lying in the clouds, hence the name. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou 5,596 m high.

Xi'an lies on the Guanzhong Plain in the south-central part of Shaanxi province, on a flood plain created by the eight surrounding rivers and streams. The city has an average elevation of 400 metres. At the beginning of Han dynasty, Prime Minister Zhang Liang advised the emperor Liu Bang to choose Guanzhong as the capital of the Han dynasty.

Mount Hua is famous for natural vista of steep and narrow paths, precipitous crags and a high mountain range.The Mountain is also home to several influential Taoist temples, where many emperors of past dynasties took part in Taoist activities and sacrificed to the god of mountain. West Peak has very high cliffs standing erect with an altitude of 2,086.6 meters. There is a Taoist temple called Cuiyun Palace, before which a huge rock looking like a lotus flower comes into view, hence the name Lotus Flower Peak.

Mount Hua is 120 km from Xian. It is famous for natural vista of steep and narrow paths, precipitous crags and a high mountain range.The Mountain is also home to several influential Taoist temples, where many emperors of past dynasties took part in Taoist activities and sacrificed to the god of mountain. There are precipitous cliffs on all sides of North Peak, making it look like a flat terrace in the clouds, hence the name Cloud Terrace Peak. It is 1,614 meters high.

Yellow Mountain is known for its sunrises, pine trees, "strangely jutting granite peaks", and views of clouds touching the mountainsides for more than 200 days out of the year.

Yellow Mountain was formed approximately 100 million years ago and gained its unique rock formations in the Quaternary Glaciation. The area is well known for its scenery, sunsets, peculiarly shaped granite peaks and Huangshan Pine trees.

Yellow Mountain range has many peaks, some more than 1,000 meters high. The three tallest and best-known peaks are Lotus Peak (1,864 m), Bright Summit Peak (1,840 m), and Celestial Peak (1,829 m).

Hongcun Ancient Villages located in Yixian County, they were listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2000. Two streams flow through the village from north and east converging at Huiyuan Bridge. It has two main streets and about 99 lanes. All the streets and lanes are paved with cobbles or black stones.

The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a unique national forest park located in Zhangjiajie City in northern Hunan. The most notable geographic features of the park are the pillar-like formations that are seen throughout the park. They are the result of many years of erosion. The weather is moist year round, and as a result, the foliage is very dense.

The Wulinyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area comprises the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the Tianzishan mountain ranges, Baofenghu and the Suoxi Valley , and is a very popular filming and tourist destination.

Baefong Lake is a fresh water lake in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area near Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China. Its average depth is 72 metres and it is surrounded by forested stone peaks.

Yuanjiajie is a natural platform that faces giant rocks rising from deep valleys and surrounded by higher mountains. Unique in their shapes and covered with pine trees, these rocks resemble a vivid Chinese painting.

Dunhuang is situated in a rich oasis containing Crescent Lake and Mingsha Shan , meaning "Singing-Sand Mountain"), named after the sound of the wind whipping off the dunes, the singing sand phenomenon. Yueyaquan is a crescent-shaped lake in an oasis, 6 km south of the city of Dunhuang It was named Yueyaquan in the Qing dynasty, the average depth of the lake was 4 to 5 meters.The lake and the surrounding Echoing-Sand Mountain are very popular with tourists, who are offered camel rides.Dunhuang commands a strategic position at the crossroads of the ancient Southern Silk Route.

Dunhuang was one of the four frontier garrison towns (along with Jiuquan, Zhangye and Wuwei) established by the Emperor Wu after the defeat of Xiongnu, and the Chinese built fortifications at Dunhuang and sent settlers there. "The Great Wall was extended to Dunhuang, and a line of fortified beacon towers stretched westwards into the desert.

Dunhuang lay on the Southern Silk Road, and it was the final stop along this route for Chinese merchants from the East where they could trade with merchants from the West who had travelled across the desert in caravans.

A number of Buddhist cave sites are located in the Dunhuang area, the most important of these is the Mogao Caves which is located 25 km southeast of Dunhuang.

Yangzhou is one of the wealthiest cities in China, known at various periods for its great merchant families, poets, artists, and scholars and is famous for its many well preserved Yangzhou style gardens. Most of the Historic city is in the Guangling District. In Yangzhou, sightseeing buses have been introduced in the city run by the Tianma travel agency under the Yangzhou Tourist Bureau. There is a tour guide on each bus. The route, starting from Yangzhou station, has eight stops, and passes by such scenic spots of the Slender West Lake, Daming Temple, Imperial Dock, Siwang Pagoda, Wenchang Pagoda and Gaomin Temple.

Scenic beauty and historical interests are combined at Slender West Lake, the entire area is full of poetic romance, and many poems have been inspired by the scenery.

Daming Temple has been a famous tourist attraction for hundreds of years. The garden area is decorated with pools, elegant pavilions, oddly-shaped false hills, lush trees and fragrant flowers. Another important temple is the Gaomin Temple which is located in the southern suburb and is one of the eight famous temples in Yangzhou during the Qing Dynasty.

Jiuzhaigou is composed of three valleys arranged in a Y shape. The Rize and Zechawa valleys flow from the south and meet at the centre of the site where they form the Shuzheng valley, flowing north to the mouth of the valley. Rize Valley is the south-western branch of Jiuzhaigou. It contains the largest variety of sites and is typically visited first such as The Primeval Forest, Swan Lake, Panda Lake, and Five Flower Lake. The Zechawa Gully is the south-eastern branch of Jiuzhaigou. It is approximately the same length as Rize gully but climbs to a higher altitude, it contains Long Lake, Five-Color Pond and The Seasonal Lakes. The Shuzheng Valley is the northern (main) branch of Jiuzhaigou. It ends after 14.5 km at the Y-shaped intersection of the three gullies. It contains Nuorilang Falls, Sleeping Dragon Lake and Reed Lake, etc.

With some of the most beautiful and inspiring scenery on earth and some of the reserves scenic spots considered holy by the local Tibetan and Qiang people, it is no wonder a number of mysterious legends surround the wonderful landscape of Jiuzhaigou. With large number of lake groups, waterfalls and rich variety of endangered plants and fauna, it was awarded the status of UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1997 and was also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992.
